Automates Galerie is a fantastic little gallery in the heart of Brussels, which will definitely have you walking out with a smile on your face. The founder Claude André has created a space for what he calls “the mechanics of happiness” or machines of all shapes and sizes, each telling their own story, which bring something positive to your everyday life. You can play with them, reflect upon them, or simply admire the intricate craftsmanship behind these extraordinary objects. Make sure you ask Claude to tell you about the inspiration behind the different pieces. Read more about him and the gallery here (in French).
Artists currently exhibiting are: Laurence Afano, Vincent Kempenaers, Philip Alka.
Artists on permanent display are: James Chedburn, Nedko Zhechev, Keith Newstead.
The next exhibition opening will be happening at the end of November. Don’t miss this date if you are in town, these little celebrations are something out of the ordinary.
